Located in the heart of downtown, the Redmont is a Hilton boutique hotel, and is convenient to the rehearsal dinner location, after party and other fun things in town (we live 3 blocks away - so this is our neighborhood!). Elyton Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott

We do not have a room block rate here, but The Elyton is another downtown boutique hotel (by Marriott) located right in our neighborhood (down the street from our loft!). Very close to the Redmont where our block is, and conveniently located to all other weekend activities and places you should check out.

Aloft Birmingham Soho Square

We do not have a room block rate here, but it is a great option, in the heart of SoHo (South Homewood) Birmingham. Close drive to downtown, on the way to the venue, and has plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Flight

Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport

Birmingham has a conveniently located international airport just minutes from downtown. There are many direct flights to BHM from major cities like New York, DC, etc. however sometimes flights can be pricey from smaller airports (many have layovers in Charlotte or Atlanta). For a cheaper option, you might also want to consider flying into Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Internation Airport and renting a car - it is a 2.5 hour drive to Birmingham.

Travel Note

Uber

Ubers are plentiful in the area, so you should have no problem catching an uber to/from the Birmingham airport, which is just a few miles from downtown where the hotels are. Also, ubering is recommended to/from the wedding venue and for other fun weekend festivities! If you are staying at any of the recommended hotels, there are also plenty of walk-able restaurants and bars.
