We met while earning our doctorates at Midwestern University during a time when the world felt anything but normal. COVID had changed how we learned, how we connected, and how we lived, but somehow, right in the middle of all that uncertainty, we found each other. It started in a big lecture hall, where one of us noticed the other from across the room and quietly hoped for a chance to connect. That chance came in physiology class, where studying together slowly became more than just preparing for exams. What started as study sessions turned into something we genuinely looked forward to, easy, comfortable, and filled with laughter. There were a few shy moments at first, but it didn't take long for us to realize the feeling was mutual. From there, everything just felt natural, like it was always meant to happen this way. Even while keeping things under wraps from our classmates, we knew what we had was something special. From the very beginning, our relationship has been built on shared values, motivation, love, and lots of laughter. During a season of life defined by change and challenge, we found something steady, meaningful, and lasting, and we have been growing together ever since.
