We both had mutual friends, but we connected over social media. Ryan told me he would shot gun a beer for the Alabama Crimson Tide beating LSU, and what can I say the rest was history. We connected winter break of 2015 and started our long distance relationship in January of 2016. We were in a long distance relationship for two years, while I finished my undergrad courses at The University of Alabama. In 2017, Ryan moved down to Alabama as I finished my last year in undergrad.

Ryan was able to pull off the ultimate proposal with the help of our families and closest friends. He planned a prom for me to attend, since I never went to my high school prom. We pulled up to pick up his grandparents to attend a Civic Club Event (fake event I later found out), where I saw our families and friends await for our arrival. After walking down the red carpet, and barely figuring out how to put the boutonniere on Ryan told me I was missing something and popped the question on August 11th, 2020.
