Rob and Rebecca’s story began in Rhode Island, while Rebecca was studying at the University of Rhode Island - Rob had already finished college and moved back home. Through mutual friends (thank you, Nate!), their paths crossed where they least expected it. Rebecca stayed in Rhode Island that summer for an internship. What started as a friendship quietly grew over the years—until Rob finally asked Rebecca out on an official date (August 2014). Their first date was at the Coast Guard House in Narragansett. Rebecca jokingly told Rob she would only go if she found a dress to wear…and needless to say, she found the dress. The night had everything: great views, lots of laughs, and even getting pulled over for taking a U-turn on the drive home. Somehow, despite (or maybe because of) all of that, it was perfect. From that night on, they’ve been inseparable—proving that sometimes the best love stories start as friendships, include a little mess, and are full of love and laughter from the very beginning. Robert asked Rebecca to marry him on a trip to Yellowstone on July 12, 2025, they fell in love with Montana and each other all over again.
