As you all may know, Rebecca has been a Labor and Delivery nurse for 5 years. It was a crisp autumn evening, where the breeze had the back of your neck hairs standing up. Rebecca slowly caressed her neck, as she walked into the hospital for a lovely night in L&D. Here comes Dr. Thompson who she’s known since working on the unit. Then a saccharine idea came, as the autumn nights have gotten colder, Rebecca needed warm hugs to adjust with. “Dr. Thompson, do you have a nice son who’d fancy me?”. Dr. Thompson replies “Well my son is single, I can see what I can do!”. A couple of cold, fall nights later, as Rebecca laid with a quiver, she receiced a text saying “Hi Rebecca, my dad gave me your number, how are you?”. As the earth tilted its axis, Rebecca and Rob hitched off their first date at Garnettes! With a benevolent twinkle in each of their eyes, it was the impractical things in this tumultuous hellscape of a world, that life was to be savored. So savored, they enjoyed ice cream in a small park. As we all know, unplanned events can create our most memorable moments—- they ended up at a Halloween party as the Earth’s moon lit the night. Rebecca as Rosie the riveter and Rob as a red crayon, in other words; a match made in heaven. Joyous laughter and letting young love liberate, it was a night to remember. Although the relationship has been tested through this pandemic, they found beauty in everything that is. Their story of adventure is just beginning.
