What Time Should I Arrive?
Answer
Please arrive between 4:00 - 4:15 PM, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. We ask that those arriving after 4:15 join us at our reception at 5:00 PM.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
We request a semi-formal dress code for the day. Whether you choose a dress, suit, lehenga, sari, or salwar kameez, we can’t wait to celebrate with you looking beautifully dressed and ready to have a great time! Additionally, for anyone wondering, our bridesmaids will be wearing green.

When Should I RSVP?
Answer
We would love for you to RSVP as soon as you are able to! If you cannot RSVP by June 15th please let us know or we will have to mark anyone who has not responded as a 'not coming' at that time.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
Due to space limitations, we’re only able to include those listed on the invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!

Can I take pictures?
Answer
We are having an unplugged ceremony, so we kindly ask you to turn your phone off and refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We welcome photos and videos during the mocktail hour and reception though, and would love for you to share them with us after the wedding!

Do you have a gift registry?
Answer
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all! However, if you would like to give us a gift, we do have a registry. You can find all the details under the Registry tab on this website. Thank you so much for thinking of us!

Is there parking?
Answer
Parking for the ceremony is free and at Parking Lot 49 on the UMass Amherst campus. Parking for the reception and hotel is available at the UMass Amherst Campus Center parking garage. The rate is $6 per night.

What Will the Weather Be Like?
Answer
In August, Amherst typically experiences warm and pleasant weather. The average high temperature is around 82°F (28°C) during the day, with cooler evenings around 61°F (16°C). While there's a chance of light rain, we’re hoping for clear skies and a beautiful celebration.

Are Children Welcome?
Answer
While we adore your little ones, we kindly ask that only the children specifically invited join us for the celebration. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Will there be alcoholic drinks?
Answer
As this is a Muslim-American wedding, it will be an alcohol-free celebration. But don’t worry—we’ll have a variety of fun and delicious mocktails to keep the party going!
