Rebecca and Peter’s love story moved a little slower than most. They worked together for months on complete separate shifts – Peter working into the night and Rebecca starting her graveyard shift in the early hours of the morning. Rebecca would use Peter’s taped segments in her news shows, and thought he had cute looks and pretty blue eyes, but it would be almost a year before they would actually meet. They finally crossed paths at a co-worker’s going-away party, with Rebecca using some liquid courage to march right up and start a conversation. The two hit it off, and eventually started working the same shift. One Sunday afternoon, Peter brought his new puppy Hazel to the station while he picked up supplies for the week. Hazel jumped off his lap and darted around the newsroom, eventually finding her way to Rebecca. That was when the two really began to connect. Co-workers became friends, and friends eventually became romantically involved. After months of talking and going out, Rebecca looked at Peter during a group date and asked, “are you going to be my boyfriend or what?” Peter loves Rebecca’s fun-loving attitude, kind-hearted spirit and beautiful smile. Rebecca loves Peter’s determination, sense of humor, supportive nature and eyes (especially when he laughs). After four years together, Peter and Rebecca are so excited and honored to share their special day with all the family and friends who have played such important parts in their lives. They are looking forward to plenty of laughing, dancing and celebrating on April 10th, 2021. Thank you for being a part of our wedding!
