Maid of Honor
Kara has been my best friend since preschool and is the closest person I have to a sister - we were only born two days apart! We have been through every stage of life together; from Girl Scouts, to working at American Eagle together, moving out, and being grown ups. She is, and always will be, my longest relationship. <3
Best Man
Ismael is better known as "Isma" to most people. He is my cousin but he is a brother to me. We briefly lived together when we were very young. Going over to Isma's house was always a treat during the summer as a kid. He had the good video games and all the food that my mom didn't allow in the house.
Bridesmaid
I met Nicole during my second semester of college, when we both joined the same sorority. We even became "twins" - don't you see the resemblance? She is kind, bright, and so incredibly smart - someone I know I can always count on. And - she loves to take care of Millie!
Groomsman
I first saw Joe in class in college, my first thought was "Why is this guy typing on the world's smallest tablet?" Joe is the type of friend I hope everyone can find one day. Joe is kind, goofy, dependable, and incredibly caring. Joe will make 100 jello shots for all our parties, pick you up in a blizzard after you total your car, listen patiently to your drunk problems, and will fix your car.
Bridesmaid
I met Anna during my first semester of college in Comparative Politics, but didn't learn her name until we both joined the same sorority. The first time we spoke, she complimented my nose ring and I had to double check with her later that I actually said "thank you." I FaceTimed Anna before my first date with Oscar!
Groomsman
Piyush is another member of the "no one can pronounce my name correctly" club. Piyush is one of the smartest people I have ever met. I still think about the conversations we had living together and how they shaped the person I am. Thanks for moving so close to me, buddy ❤️
Bridesmaid
Arin has always been the one friend I could count on to be more of an adult than me. She is smart, dependable, and we share the same kind of Type A qualities. Arin is the friend I would call to bail me out of jail - if she wasn't busy sailing a boat across an ocean.
Groomsman
My little brother Brian Joseph Palacios. Our family's second best soccer player. Brian has a horrible taste in music and in chain pizza. Even still you are the best kid ever since I picked you up from the hospital.
Bridesmaid
Lindsey and her husband, Isma, were the first members of Oscar's family that I met! They've made me feel like family from the beginning! Lindsey is funny, kind, and generous and always reminds me how lucky I am to know her.
Groomsman
Rahul is the little brother of the friend group. He joined late but he is an essential member. You can always count on Rahul calling to check in on you. He is kindhearted and is also the group's second mom.
Bridesmaid
I also met Genesis in Alpha Epsilon Phi - she was Nicole's and my "grand-big!" Genesis let me visit her in Madrid while I studied abroad when I needed a dose of home, and she took care of me all weekend long. Gen and her husband, Christian, gave Oscar their stamp of approval early on in our relationship, and I knew he was a keeper.
Groomsman
Ibrahim is my cool friend. He drove a Mustang and had is own apartment in college; I don't think we could have thought he was anything else. Ibrahim is always down to party and have an adventure. Always ready to have a deep conversation no matter the time of day.
Officiant
I met Maya in college, where we were later COVID roommates. We liked it so much we decided to do it again in a big girl apartment. Maya has known Oscar and I from the very beginning of our relationship and we could not think of a better person to officiate our wedding!
