Tragedy into Triumph!!!

Rebecca and I met over 20 years ago attending the same church, The Sanctuary at Kingdom Squares. Never dated or anything but were just cool. We reconnected in 2018 at a function and exchanged numbers but neither of us called...lol!!! In 2020, the world changed for everyone and we both suffered heart wrenching family losses. I get a text to say, "hey just checking in on you and just want to see how you are holding up." Rebecca was genuinely just being the nice and kind person she is. (This is Mike typing this by the way "aka" the real version of the story.) I was really out of it those days. Losing my baby sister and grandmother days apart to COVID-19 took a lot out of me. I finally responded and I'm glad I did. I could have missed my blessing....hahahaha!!! So, we texted for a while, then one Saturday night I ended up on the phone with her until 4am, knowing I had to be at church by 8am. I was like, "Ooooh I like her". Then the "Good Morning" texts turned into "Hey Beautiful". I had her right then and there lololol!!! Now, she can tell her side and I'll finish the truth. Now, my turn to tell our story....lol!! In all seriousness, that's pretty much the way it happened. From losing my mother in 2020 to COVID-19, that was a pain that no one wanted to feel. I read his post about his family losses and felt his pain. From someone who understood a COVID-19 loss, it was different. I sent a message sending my condolences and offered a lending ear. It took some time before I got a response but when he started to communicate, he hasn't stopped and now, HE PUT A RING ON IT!!! To sum it all up, one night, we both were at a birthday party having a time. Bishop AG Maclin pulled us to the side and it got weirdly serious. He told us both to our faces that "Tragedy has brought us together for Triumph!" We now know and believe this to be true. Elaine and Michelle, thank you for bringing us together!!!! This union is in honor of our guardian angels, Elaine E. Campbell and Michelle Y. Scott!!
