After refusing to use any type of dating app I decided to give it a try and it ended up being the best decision of my life. Never did I think that I would meet the love of my life through social media. I signed up for Hinge and after only a few weeks I came across Becca’s profile. I knew right away that I wanted to meet her. I was lucky enough that Becca felt the same way after coming across my profile. After a few days of chatting we decided to meet up for a drink at Bar on Buena on Thursday, 4/28/2016. As soon as she walked in I was immediately taken back by her beauty. I was incredibly nervous but I think I handled myself well, well at least as best as I could. As soon as we met everything clicked. We realized we had similar interests and more in common that I could have ever imagined. Needless to say, I knew that night that I saw a future with Becca. After several hours at the bar we decided to call it a night. I walked her back to her apartment and we said goodnight. As I began heading home I could not get Becca out of my head and I kept thinking to myself, would it seem desperate to reach out tomorrow and ask her out again? I decided to go with my gut and ask her out again immediately following our first date. Within the first week we went on three dates and the rest is history. -MIKE

It was the most beautiful weekend at Lake Geneva, WI - one of my favorite places to visit. Mike and I were going for a walk in the morning before his parents were to arrive. My family went off to do various activities - Mom went on an errand, Dad went to check on the boat, and Alissa was going on a "run." Little did I know what was about to happen... As Mike and I neared one of the piers with a perfect view of the lake he suddenly became very quiet but we proceeded to walk out on the dock and sit on a bench. He dropped down to one knee and after some touching words, some tears, and lots of excitement I said "YES!" to the perfect ring and the perfect guy. We took a few minutes to soak in the moment and I asked if we should head back soon to see our families as they were likely waiting for us and I wanted to share the news. Suddenly, a boat appeared around the bend and there were my parents, sister and brother in law, and Mike's parents - cheering and smiling (with a camera in hand of course). We spent the entire day cruising around Lake Geneva drinking champagne and celebrating. It was truly the most incredible day that I will never forget. I can't even fully explain the love and joy we felt on that day, it was as if time had stopped and this moment was going to last forever. I truly feel so lucky to be marrying Mike and I cannot wait for our wedding day! -BECCA
