FAQs

If you have any questions not listed below please reach out to Mario Ornelas at (931)310-8897. During the wedding weekend please direct questions to Noah Robison at (901)569-2473.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear your Sunday best! Whatever that may be ;)

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

PLEASE aim to arrive at least 15 minutes early to avoid being late to the ceremony. You don't want to interrupt the big moment! If you arrive earlier you can explore the beautiful cathedral and spend some time in prayer.

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

The Cathedral has an expansive parking lot that will easily accommodate everyone. To be closest to the reception hall, you'll want to park on the north side (right side).

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

Yes! There will be chicken breast with either a butter herb or white wine sauce. The sides will be rice pilaf, roasted potatoes, and sautéed green beans. There won't be additional dinner options so please plan accordingly! (Except for the children's menu)

Question

Will there be alcohol at the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will have wine and beer to celebrate with. Please remember to drink prudently and have a plan for returning home/ to your hotel safely. Drinks will stop being served an hour before the celebrations end.

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

No. According to Sacred Heart Cathedral Policy, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the cathedral's grounds including outdoors. We ask that you please refrain from smoking to respect the rules set by the church.

Question

Will the wedding be a full Mass or just a ceremony?

Answer

The wedding will take place within a Catholic Mass. We ask that if you are not Catholic that you refrain from receiving communion at the end of mass, but you are still welcome to go up and receive a blessing from the priest.

Question

Will the ceremony be Bilingual?

Answer

Yes! The groom's family speaks predominantly Spanish while the bride's family speaks predominantly English, so the Mass will alternate between the two languages. (No German - sorry)

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Our photographer will take pictures while respecting the solemnity of the Mass. We ask that you simply be present and enjoy the beautiful moment with us. We can share our pictures with you in the days/weeks after. Feel free to take all the pictures your heart desires during the reception though!
