We're getting married!

I have been in several weddings and had the pleasure of watching my friends and close family members find their person, the one they want to grow old with. For a while I didn't think I would ever find my person as dating after COVID seemed nearly impossible. As I prepared for yet another first date, I didn't want to get my hopes up in wanting this one to finally work out. Jared and I first bonded over our love of Taco Bell. We decided a perfect low key first date would be to grab Taco Bell and make some Baja Blast margaritas at my apartment. The date was going okay, however once we put Netflix on, I fell asleep. I woke up and told Jared I was sorry, and he had to leave as I needed to go to bed. Clearly neither of us felt much of a spark as I didn't hear from Jared again and I proceeded to chalk this date as a failure. After a couple weeks, Jared reached back out and asked to go on another date. I was hesitant as I didn't feel like Jared and I were compatible, but I agreed anyway. Jared invited me over to his parents' house for a swim in the pool spa followed by a fire and some board games. I ended up meeting his entire family that night. After playing several games of Secret Hitler and poker, I knew I needed to head home when I saw it was around 3am. Jared walked me to my car and gave me a giant hug and kiss, and I knew this date was completely different than our first. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach and knew I needed to see this guy again. After several dates and a million text messages and phone calls later, I knew I had found my person. I knew I only needed one approval before letting myself completely fall for Jared and that was from my dog Matilda. Matilda loves Jared almost as much as she loves cheese, which sealed the deal for me. I love getting to wake up next to my best friend every day waiting to see what adventure we can get into. I feel incredibly lucky to be marrying someone who makes me feel loved, supported, and truly at home.

I saw a woman on Hinge she looked cool and hot I swiped right and now were getting married. Actually, after college I was looking for someone to be my future person to go on adventures with and experience what this small frame of reference we all know as life. We had Taco bell for our first date while watching a Christmas movie in July. She subsequently fell fast asleep then kicked me out of her apartment. I realized quickly that I might have lost Becca at this moment, so I texted her back as we were having a pool spa party that I should invite Becca to it. When she arrived, she was waving to us while we were in the Pool Spa, I realized that this moment that this could be my person. Over that night of spending time by the fire overlooking my parents' backyard, to playing poker and board games alluded above Secret Hitler (it's a social deduction tabletop game) that the woman who was sitting next to me was someone I wanted to spend my time with. From our future dates and outings, I found my person tenfold, that the thoughtfulness and kindness that I witnessed from spending time with each other was something that I wanted to see flourish in time. From our adventures and getting to know our families I can cherish these moments with Becca. I cannot wait from every morning to every night that both Becca and I can go through the journey of life together.
