Our favorite food truck spot! Rebecca especially loves the Pad Thai from Baitong on Wheels and the Asada Quesadilla from Tacos el Poblanito. Geoff's favorites include the Yellow Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice from. Baitong on Wheels!

Redmond Burger Company

There's also one in Bend! Rebecca loves the Mirror Pond, and Geoff loves the Broken Top!

Taj Palace Indian Cuisine

Who knew Indian food would become one of Geoff's comfort foods? [Rebecca, probably; it's been her favorite since undergrad at CMU when they'd go out to Bombay Grill (RIP) after (or sometimes before) Opera rehearsals!] Fan favorites include the Mixed Vegetable Pakora, Saag Paneer, of COURSE Chicken Tikka Masala, and how could any meal be complete without copious amounts of naan??? The Buffet is our favorite so we can get all in one go!

For the Kids:

Juniper Swim & Fitness Center

Water slide and a graded pool for kiddos of all sizes!! Might be a tad cold in May still, but they have an indoor pool too!

Lava Lanes Bend

Bowling! If you don't need all the other stuff, this is a great spot for a fun evening! (The bar has karaoke sometimes too, but that's less kid-friendly)

Sam Johnson Park

A SUPER fun playground for kiddos! Rock climbing, swings, ZIP LINE?? There's a dedicated spot for littles and then bigger activities for the older ones too! A huge open lawn area with some perfectly placed trees for a bit of hammocking. Also explore the larger Dry Canyon area!

Sun Mountain Fun Center

Bowling, Arcade, Bumper Cars, Mini Golf, LAZER Tag, need I say more? Rebecca loved bringing her foster kids here, pretty affordable for a fun day with kids of all ages!

Bend Factory Outlet Stores

A great spot for some reduced price items! Rebecca found a super discounted winter jacket at the Columbia outlet store last year!

Old Mill District

A great spot for restaurants, shopping, and proximity to the Deschutes river!
