We're Getting Married!

We met through Kurt and Anna Lentz. Kurt is Erik's cousin and Anna is Becca's best friend. We had actually known each other for years through Kurt and Anna's parties and events. In the fall of 2016, we kept ending up at football games and dive bars togther. Finally, at Anna's birthday party we confessed our feelings for each other and, as Erik likes to tell people, "There were sparks ever since..."

Just a couple weeks before Christmas we scheduled a date night at the Atlanta Botanical Garden to see the Christmas lights display. The first section of the garden had string lights hanging from all the trees. They changed colors and moved with the music that was playing. As we neared the end of the display and were getting our photo taken, Erik got down on one knee and popped the question. The song playing was "What a wondeful world." And so it is.
