We first met on an app called Coffee Meets Bagel. After messaging and talking for a week we decided to meet in person. Our first date was at a coffee shop in El Segundo, California where we sat and conversed for several hours in the beating afternoon sun getting crispy; we didn’t let that stop us from ending our conversation. We then took a walk to a nearby park and enjoyed the cool shade there and talked for a few more hours. We realized we lost track of time as we were getting hungry and found a ramen shop for dinner on the walk back to the car. After dropping off Rebecca, we noticed that we were together for six hours while it didn’t seem like it at all. After that, our conversations and time spent together have been tremendously intentional. A few months later, Elijah thought it was a great idea to include Rebecca’s friends, Sarah and Andrea, in the engagement while they were in California for vacation. He told Sarah and Andrea to get Rebecca for a girls day, which included getting her nails done and matching outfits. Hahaha Elijah took all of us to the LA Arboretum and got down on one knee in front of a waterfall. He chose this place because of our love in taking walks while enjoying nature. Rebecca said yes! We are so excited to celebrate our special day together with you.
