Our Story

It all began in 2005 at a little pub in Duluth, GA—the Loafing Leprechaun—on a Team Trivia night. At the time, we were both dating other people, but thanks to those connections, our paths crossed. Fast forward to 2010, when life had taken us in different directions, and we both found ourselves single. We started spending more time together, and a strong friendship blossomed. I was living in downtown Atlanta, and Egg would pick me up so we could explore the city. We wandered Atlantic Station, visited the latest exhibits at the High Museum and Botanical Garden, scoured record stores and comic book shops in Little Five Points, and ended many nights at my favorite dive bar, The Highlander. While we didn’t know it then, these adventures were laying the foundation for something much deeper. Life carried us forward, sometimes together, sometimes apart, but one thing never changed—I always missed Egg when he wasn’t in my life. In December 2016, my father passed away just before Christmas. I was surrounded by amazing friends who supported me, but one moment stood out. After the funeral, when everyone else had gone home, Egg stayed behind. He spent hours simply talking with me, offering quiet comfort when I needed it most. That night meant everything to me. Then, in February 2018, the timing was finally right. On February 9th, Egg visited me, and from that moment on, we knew—we were meant to be. It was a long time coming, but every step of the journey was worth it. And now, we can’t wait to start our next chapter together.
