Thanks to Dustin’s brother Zak, who was bowling in the work league with Rebecca, Dustin ended up joining the league a few seasons later. It wasn’t until a couple of seasons after he joined that the stars aligned for us. On the first day of the new league, our teams ended up facing each other. We chatted throughout the game, and before I knew it, he had my number! We went out a few times, really hit it off, and just enjoyed each other’s company. Sadly, Rebecca was a bit stubborn (funny, huh?) and wasn’t quite ready for anything serious yet. Little did she know, Dustin had been eyeing Rebecca since he first started in the league — guess when you know, you know! Fast forward past the holidays, one night after bowling, Rebecca asked Dustin if he wanted to grab a beer. From there, it’s been history! We’ve been building a life together ever since. As we look ahead to the next chapter of our marriage, we’re excited about finding our own place. We love the adventures we create together, guiding Parker into adulthood, and the happiness the farm brings us — with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 tortoises by our side.
A simple ski trip to Park City, Utah turned into a trip we'll never forget! We spent two amazing days skiing and snowboarding in Park City. The conditions were perfect, the views breathtaking, and the weather was fantastic—everything about it was just incredible. But little did I know, someone had a special surprise up their sleeve the whole time! Early in our relationship, Rebecca shared her dream of being proposed to in a hot air balloon. Dustin took her seriously and had it all planned out for a special surprise in Park City. Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas—winds were forecasted for the day of the ride. So, he quickly changed plans and decided we should go snowshoeing instead. As we were out in the snow, our guide drew a big heart in the snow, and Dustin started to say all these sweet, romantic things. That’s when I started to realize what was really happening! Before I knew it, Dustin got down on one knee—snowshoe still on—and asked me to marry him. I was over the moon and said yes! It was such a beautiful and unexpected surprise.
