Proof that Tinder gets it right sometimes: After swiping right on each other and texting for a few days, we met up for Caribbean food for dinner. Derek gave Bella a pep talk so she would behave and Rebecca showed up late. Even though it was March and freezing, we sat outside talking for hours. When we left, we agreed it was the best first date in both our lives. Turns out our best first date ended up being our last first date!

As we left Lake Cushman, Derek pulled the car off the road so we could look at a really pretty lookout that he had never mentioned in the three years we had been dating. Even though she was confused, Rebecca got Bella out of the car and wandered off to look at the view. When she turned around, Derek was down on one knee. Rebecca promptly asked "are you sure??" several times. When Derek convinced her that he was very sure, Rebecca happily said yes! We are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you!
