The ceremony is at the Sara Ann Smith outdoor Chapel. When you enter the YMCA, follow Association Drive to the right until you reach Caring Lane. Take a right onto Caring Lane. Follow that road and take a slight left to the end of the road. You should park on the left side of the road near the axe throwing. Then you'll walk up the path on the other side of the road to reach the ceremony. When you leave the ceremony, you'll want to jump in your car and take the 3 minute drive over to the Willome building for the reception. You'll simply follow the road back to Association drive (which will turn into Longhouse Way), turn right and then turn left into the parking lot just past Fern Odessa Lane.
Dress Code: Mountain Formal We’ll be getting married outdoors. The bride and groom will be dressed to the nines, and guests are invited to wear elevated outdoor attire — sundresses, midi or maxi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, linen suits, or slacks with a button-down. Jackets and ties are welcome but not required. Kindly no jeans or overly casual attire.
Our venue IS in the mountains at around 8,000 feet. If you are traveling from somewhere a little closer to sea level, you should remember to hydrate! Also, be sure to compensate for some of the effects that the change in altitude can have on your body. This includes becoming fatigued a little faster and having a lower tolerance for alcohol.
There will be a sumptuous buffet with all kinds of food. From appetizers, to mains & sides, to dessert options. There will also be choices for our beloved gluten free friends. Trust us, you will not go hungry!
