How do I get to The Tea Room?
Answer
The Tea Room is located on the sixth floor of the Wilkins Building at 713 Walnut Street in downtown Des Moines. For entrance to The Tea Room, enter the building at the northwest corner on the east side of 8th Street, halfway between Walnut and Locus. Take the elevator up to the sixth floor. There will be signage and staff members directing you accordingly.

Where do I park?
Answer
The 9th and Locust parking garage, as well as the 9th and Mulberry parking garage, are within walking distance of The Tea Room. Rates are $1 per hour (up to $10 per day) Monday through Saturday between 9:00am and 9:00pm and free on Sundays. Garages accept credit and debit cards only. If you are staying in a hotel that is connected by skywalk, you can leave your car there. There are also Uber and Lyft services available. Please allow appropriate time for parking.

What should I wear?
Answer
Our dress code for the ceremony and reception is elevated cocktail attire. Elevated cocktail attire is slightly more formal than semi-formal. It typically involves dresses or skirts for women and suits for men. No jeans, please. If your outfit can toast a champagne glass AND handle a spin on the dance floor, you’re doing it right.

We politely request no children outside of our wedding party and families. Everyone who is invited will be notated on your RSVP card. We appreciate your understanding!

If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will be noted on your RSVP. Otherwise, we kindly ask that only those listed attend.
