When Daniel got hired at Dions, Rebecca was already well established at the job having been there over a year. The first meeting seemed nothing more than an introduction between new co-workers, even though an initial attraction was felt on both sides. As the two grew closer as friends, Daniel had to watch Rebecca go through an ill-suited relationship, offering advice and encouragement through her doubts. He proved to not be conniving by being one of the few people in her life not insisting she end things. After the inevitable end of Rebeccas relationship, Daniel was determined to wait for some time before asking her out. Rebecca seemed to have different ideas. Having been made aware of his feelings through a mutual friend, she examined her heart and found she had feelings for him too. In an uncharacteristic moment of boldness, she inquired if a hang out between friends was actually a date. "I mean I guess" was his only reply.
