How They Met Rebecca and Daniel first crossed paths at a 4th of July party in 2013 at a mutual friend’s house. Sparks flew right away, and Rebecca surprised herself by making the first move; something completely out of character. The next morning, she was still laughing about her boldness, but luckily, she had Daniel’s number. The very next day, she texted him to see if he wanted to grab breakfast, and that one small message set everything in motion. Daniel still teases her about it, but it worked; they immediately hit it off, spending the first year as close friends before Daniel officially asked her to be his girlfriend on September 13, 2014. The Journey What started as a spark at a summer party has turned into a love story more than a decade in the making. For the past 11 years, Rebecca and Daniel have been inseparable, growing together, laughing endlessly, and building a life filled with adventures and memories. To them, it has always felt like they were already soulmates. Now, it’s simply time to make it official. The Proposal In early 2025, Daniel and Rebecca took a ski trip to Colorado with their friends Emma and Mujo. It was Rebecca’s first time skiing, and she spent most of the day feeling like a baby deer on wobbly legs. Daniel, sweet and encouraging as always, kept coaxing her to take the ski lift up the mountain for photos. Nervous about how she’d get back down, she refused again and again until Daniel finally convinced her that the ski attendant would let them ride right back down after taking pictures. At the top, Emma suggested Rebecca pose for a few solo photos looking out at the mountains. When she turned back around, Daniel was down on one knee, holding a bright red Ring Pop. Rebecca burst into laughter, remembering how she once told him that whether he proposed with a candy ring or a diamond, her answer would always be the same. And just like that, with tears and laughter, she said yes. On the way back down, Rebecca rode the ski lift while Daniel skied below her, shouting, “I love you, Becca!” the whole way down the mountain. It was the perfect mix of laughter, love, and joy, a moment they’ll never forget. Now, surrounded by the people they love most, they’re so excited to begin their next chapter as husband and wife.
