They actually technically met back in high school in gym class when their grades were combined for a school wide volleyball competition. Corey and Rebecca ended up on the same team. Corey, being the athletic and super competitive teenager he was got so angry when Rebecca couldn't bump/serve the ball to save her life. This was really their only interaction for quite a while. Fast forward 12 years...they both ended up living in their hometowns and worked out at the same gym. After becoming more friendly at the gym they decided to hang out, and the rest is history. They have hardly spent time apart since!

As most of you know, Walt Disney World has become their favorite place to travel to. They are very lucky to be able to go multiple times a year. They were approaching the two years mark in their relationship and had two back to back trips planned. It was pretty much a given that Corey would pop the question in Disney... but which trip did he have in mind? The first trip was for Halloween festivities which has become a tradition for them now, making this the third year! The second trip was for Rebecca's 30th birthday in which her parents would be down to celebrate too. Corey decided to make the big proposal happen during their 3rd annual Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. He had Rebecca's sister and brother in-law in on it so they were there to capture the moment. There was a location planned however Corey got a bit nervous and decided that when Rebecca said " Hey let's take a picture in front of the castle!" that this was his moment. They took the picture and then he got down on one knee and asked her the most important question of her life. It was pure magic and everything she'd always dreamed of! Now whenever they go back to the Magic Kingdom they gotta visit the spot where it all happened. This made Disney World even more special for them :)
