What can we say about Wakefield Crowbar? It's our Bar! Crowbar was the first place I invited Corby to, I've worked here for years, and we've made so many great friends here. We even came here to celebrate our engagement and had our wedding license signed here!
Providence is one of my favorite bars because of it's laidback atmosphere and games. It doesn't hurt that Corby and I also had our first kiss here after I let him win at darts.
This bar has a Ferris Wheel! 'Nough Said.
Corby and I love to come here to watch Sunday Football with friends. Try the fried Mac n' Cheese!
Karbach has a great Beer Garden and some of our favorite craft brews. The restaurant is good too!
The Rustic serves an amazing brunch, but it's also known for it's live music and yummy cocktails.
Miyako is the restaurant Corby and I where Corby and I went on our first date. He also proposed to me here. We even sat at the same table! Try the Lobster roll, it's on Fire!
If you want delicious Mexican, head to the ORIGINAL Los Cucos location on Clay. There is also another location by our house in Jersey Village and one closer to the city off 290. Corby says I am addicted to their stuffed avocado and their green salsa. He's not wrong.
Torchy's is a former Austin, TX food truck and has the most delicious Guacamole! We love the Baja Shrimp and the Carnitas tacos as well.
Who does love NY style pizza!? Roma's has the best and it's open LATE LATE!
This underground beer garden and food hall is close to the hotels and has lots of options for a quick bite.
Just down the road from the venue, Sambuca offers upscale dinning and live music nightly. I also worked at the Dallas location in college and first dined here with Crystal and our dates before our senior year homecoming dance.
We love to head to the Zoo for all their events, like Zoo Lights, and Adult nights. It's a fun date night and a great place to take the kids!
Corby and I spent our first Halloween as a couple here, dressed as a banana and a gorilla. We had so much fun! We even contemplated having our wedding under the dinosaurs. LOL! It's also home to the Cockrell Butterfly center.
This local art gallery houses some unique exhibits, but more importantly, you can find Corby's company security systems keeping all the art safely inside!
If I'm being honest, I've never been here, but I'm sure it's great!
We love heading down to Galveston for the weekend! It's got the cutest shops off the Strand, delicious food (Try Gaidos or The Gumbo Diner), and of course the Beach!
