Our Love Story

#OnceUponACamp

We met through one of my best friends, who I am lucky to have as one of my bridesmaids. I had known Shauntianna for years and Collin had been working with her for a short while. One day on his lunch at work, he saw a picture of her and I on her phone. A couple of nights later we had gone out for a girls night and Shauntianna had invited him to come out with us. We all hung out played cards against humanities and he would purposefully choose my card everytime (I know it's really because i am so funny). He was a boy from Missouri and I was a girl from Spring Valley. The following nights we saw each other again from bowling to house hangouts and friend outings and then one night he took me on a drive. We drove to a look out he had found that overlooked all of Spring Valley out towards Coronado. We stayed out and talked about our families, our likes, and our dreams on the hood of his '89 Ford Bronco. We discovered that we had both lived in the same middle of no where town called Jacumba during the same time - For those who do not know Jacumba is a small town you would come across on your way out to the desert. You could ride a bike around the town in 15 minutes and there was not much out there. - He lived on one side of the town closest to the library and town rec center and I lived on the other, nearest to the train tracks and old dried up lake. The idea that we had never met sooner in life shocked me but it simply was not our time yet. Nights turned into weeks and weeks into months, promises turned into commitments and after saying no on a couple occasions, I finally said yes! A month later we were surprised to find that we were pregnant with our first baby boy Jaxon Matthew Lynn Camp. Doing things out of order seems to be our thing. We decided to wait on the wedding until Jaxon was over a year. Here we are two years later excited to say we are blessed with another baby boy on the way and tying the knot finally!
