There are 100s of trails throughout Boulder. Here are our recommendations! 1. Red Rocks Trail at Settler's Park (walking distance from downtown) - the Red Rocks are great for climbing and provide a nice view of Boulder without having to do a strenuous hike 2. Chautauqua - Fantastic hiking right at the base of the famous flatirons. Varying difficulty depending on which trail you choose! Make sure to stop in at the Ranger Cottage and the General Store for an ice cream! 3. NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) Trailhead - Easy, flat trail with gorgeous views and interesting "weather facts" along the trail 4. Sanitas Trailhead: multiple trail options in Central Boulder including Valley trail, Lions Lair, Sunshine Canyon Trail, Anemone Trailand Mt. Sanitas Trail, etc.)

Boulder Creek runs right through the heart of Boulder and offers great water play for all ages. The Boulder Creek path is a paved 7 mile trail along the creek that is popular among walkers, joggers, and bikers. Bike rentals are available at University Bicycles.
