We were introduced by a mutual friend, but it was an Instagram comment that sparked our conversation. Our first date was meant to be watching the new Suicide Squad movie , but it was completely sold out. Instead, we ended up watching Pete’s Dragon, which is a totally different genre and has since become one of our favorite films. A few weeks later, on September 11, 2016, Christian asked me to be his girlfriend. After realizing the significance of the date, he jokingly suggested we wait until the next day! Nearly nine years we are finally making it official and saying “I Do”!

What a delightful surprise it was! We had maternity photos scheduled at Silver Lake Sand Dunes, and Christian secretly contacted our photographer, Cameryn Carey Photography, to arrange for extra time and plan everything without my knowledge. She cleverly ensured I got my nails done and brought along her partner to capture the moments on video. It couldn't have been more perfect!
