Brandon and I went to the same high school. We hung around the same friend group. I never thought a guy like Brandon would be interested in a girl like me. He was older, played on the school's baseball team, and was very well known. When I finally got enough courage to message him, I could not believe he even responded to me! We began texting and hanging out more frequently. It is crazy how fast we clicked. He has been my bestfriend and my sidekick ever since!
Brandon's birthday was coming up quickly. I began asking what he wanted to do for it. His answer was that he just wanted a simple nice dinner with some friends. It caught me by surprise because anyone who knows Brandon knows he does not like to dress up. I found a relaxing rooftop bar in Downtown Charleston and invited some of our closest friends. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner and some laughs. After we finished dinner we went to the rooftop to enjoy some drinks and old stories. It was starting to get late and Brandon's bestfriend, Bobby, got me to go with him to get Brandon his favorite drink. When I came back from getting his favorite drink a present randomly showed up on the table. Brandon claimed my friend Tiff brought him a gift. He unwrapped it and it was a ring box. After he pulled the ring box out I was overwhelmed with so many emotions. He told me that becoming his wife would be the best birthday present he could ask for. I never thought he would ask me to be his wife on a day that is supposed to be all about him, but I am so thankful he did! I could not imagine it going any more perfect!
