What's the dress code?

Answer

Tuesday's welcome dinner will be smart-casual, summer dresses, shirts and jeans etc. Wedding attire theme is 'Greens and Tweeds'; but more broadly embracing the colours of nature and being in the Scottish countryside is great too! Of course, kilts and Scottish tartan is also encouraged! Make sure to bring shoes you can explore the stunning castle grounds in too!

What about gifts?

Answer

We appreciate that attending a destination wedding costs you money and we appreciate the efforts you’re going to for this celebration, that’s more than enough for us, (we also won’t have room in our suitcase for a gravy pot or casserole dish)! However, if you still wish to donate towards our future fund, we will graciously accept this into our UK bank accounts.

Do we stay at the castle?

Answer

Yes please! We would love to all experience this time together, you will be contacted by Auchen Castle to pay an initial deposit for your room by February 28th.

What food is provided?

Answer

All food for the stay is taken care of. We have a welcome dinner on Tuesday evening, all room bookings include breakfasts on Wednesday and Thursday morning, reception canapés and of course the wedding 4 course dinner (please make your menu choices when you RSVP!) and an evening buffet to fuel the party!

During the wedding day we will provide a selection of wine and champagne. There is also a bar available for guests to buy additional drinks throughout your stay.
