We first crossed paths at San Jacinto College, training for maritime careers, but really unknowingly charting a course toward each other. It didn’t take long for fate (and a bit of campus politics) to put us together! Ben was the President of our campus club and I was the Vice President. We like to say we were “Co-Captain” long before we were a couple. As if spending all that time in meetings wasn’t enough, we also worked the same job for the same company at the same marina. Between hauling lines, swapping sea stories, and competing over who tied the better knots… we quickly went from crew mates to best friends, and now we’re officially dropping anchor together for good. ❤️
