We met online in January of 2022 and would talk just about every day. Neither of us were really looking for anything serious at the moment, but I kept telling my friends at work "She keeps making me feel loved and I don't like it!". We lived a few hours apart, so we didn't get to hang out as often as we'd have liked. After being able to visit one another a few times I knew she was the one and we started officially dating in July.
She finally moved out to the area I was living in, and we had a favorite cocktail bar we would go to when we wanted to celebrate things. I had been working with the manager of the bar to help me set up a spot that we could reserve. This was tricky because she knew the bar didn't allow reservations! I was talking to a few of our mutual friends to come celebrate with us after I proposed so we needed seating for a small group! We got to the bar and they seated us in a section that had lots of seats, and this threw her off because she thought it was just going to be us. I "noticed" I didnt have a lot of photos of the 2 of us on my phone so I asked the server to take a few photos of us since we were dressed up a little. After she took a few, I got up to look at them before she could walk away and slid the camera over to the video camera. The server got the hint! I sat back down, and the camera flash came on confusing Becca even more, then she looked over to tell me the flash was on, and I was on my knee with the ring! Our friends came in a few minutes later and celebrated with us. I'm still shocked I managed to pull all of this off!
