To fit with the trend of most millennials, both Steve and Becca were on dating apps circa 2016. Neither of them was convinced that anything but a few good stories would come from the experience, but nevertheless, they both "swiped right" on one another's picture. After some witty banter from Stephen, Becca accepted his invitation to meet for drinks at a local restaurant Tuesday night. Both agree that the evening went swimmingly, and consequently, second, third, and fourth dates were soon to follow. Steve wooed Becca with his personality and strikingly good looks, and Becca wooed Stephen with her intellect, wit, good cooking, beauty, humor, drive, compassion, and empathy (can you tell Becca is writing this story??). As time went on, their two lives started blending into one as they met each other's family and friends. By trusting those who are closest to them, they became more sure that they had met their "person". Over the next four years, they filled their chapters with adventures both at home and abroad. They traveled to Switzerland, Greece, Italy, Greece again, OBX, the Poconos, Ocean City, Lake Placid, and throughout all of Philadelphia. They have plans to continue their travels as soon as the world normalizes. Steve moved in with Becca in October, the world ended in March, and Steve proposed shortly after in one of their favorite outdoor spaces near their city. Although none of their family or friends were able to be there in person, Steve created a video where everyone's love could be felt even through the screen. The next few months were filled with non-stop, 24/7 hanging out as quarantine shut down the city. Even after months of stir-crazy togetherness, their loving relationship persisted, grew, and strengthened. Looking back on the past four years, both are excited about the future and all the adventures still to come. They can't wait for the next chapter, celebrating with you all in September.
