If you're into presidential history, you can check out the historical farm and home of LBJ as a child. There are trails, historical cabins, and a living history farm.
A park for nature lovers, there's tons to do at Pedernales Falls. There are hiking and biking trails, as well as swimming, canoeing and kayaking. There are also camping sites both primitive and with electricity.
With 11 miles of hiking trails, you can get lost at Enchanted Rock. If you sign a release form at park headquarters, you can also go rock climbing.
Closer to San Antonio, Natural Bridge Caverns offers guided cave tours through a half-mile of rock formations, in addition to aboveground ropes courses and other fun attractions like a 5000-square-foot outdoor maze to get lost in.
For younger folks, the Hill Country Science Mill is a STEM museum with lots of hands-on exhibits.
