Trevor and Rebecca first met on the ultimate frisbee field in 2014 while playing for the Flying Dutchman. Trevor actually started off with the "B" team, Black Pearl, but by the end of the season he was a full time pirate. So 2014 was not the year the romance started, two more ultimate seasons passes and still they were public frien-emies on the team Public Enemy. It wasn't until the season of 2017 that "Stitch" and "Becs" blossomed from teammates to something more. All during this time, two lovely teammates and bridesmaids were playing match maker- they had personally interviewed Trevor and knew it was a match. At Nationals- 2017, the chemistry was real on the field and off the field.

This past summer, Rebecca spent her "sabbatical" guiding groups down the Green River in Utah. So on the long road trip home from Utah, Trevor met her in Salt Lake City and together they roamed about the west eventually landing on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (Rebecca's favorite place, ask her about it- she may start tearing up). During the first evening on the rim they wandered out to watch sunset. Right as the sun disappeared behind the rim, Trevor popped the question... or really the statement "I would love it if you would be my wife." It was a definite "YES!" and they celebrated that night by eating mac n' cheese and brisket sandwiches.
