Our journey began in 2019 through our mutual friend, Hinge (or briefly in 2017 on J-Swipe, depending on who you ask). Nathan was immediately captivated by a girl who ‘geeked out on accounting and concerts’, and Becky was excited about a great Jewish guy over 6ft tall. Our first date was a beer festival, and our relationship began soon after. It didn’t hurt that we conveniently lived only a 15-minute walk from each other in Lincoln Park. Our first summer dating consisted of street festivals, coast-to-coast weddings, and more concerts than we can count. The real special moment came when both of us ordered the same bagel with the exact same modifications from an extensive menu early one Saturday morning. We have since moved our life over to Logan Square, where we’ve hosted countless rooftop parties and Jewish holiday meals with our close friends. We spent our time quarantined together working on puzzles, amateur furniture building, and of course, learning new dishes in the kitchen (dumplings are our specialty). With a little help from a close friend, Nathan was able to surprise Becky with a picture-perfect engagement in Fort Collins, CO and our families couldn’t have been more ecstatic. We are excited for the next step in our journey together and look forward to celebrating with all of you in Denver, CO next November.
