"The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord". We truly believe that this passage speaks truth into our relationship. From connecting on an online dating website while one of us was visiting with family and the other traveling for rodeos, to the Lord letting our paths cross nearly a year later. On our first date, we decided that we would test out Logan's brand "new-to-him" jetski on the river. All went well until the jetski kept stalling and us fighting each other's balance. We both ended up in the water on numerous occasions, not to mention running out of gas in the middle of the bay and having to be towed 45 minutes back by another jetski. We didn't know it then, but that was a life lesson that we know is true today, that even though we both might start at opposite ends of the track, we are both racing towards the same finish line. We were put through a lot of those life lessons having a long distance relationship (3.5 hours each way) for the first 2 years of our relationship. We truly believe that it was God's way of building the foundation for the life we get to now call ours. Even with searching for our first home, our patience was tested. After viewing 63 different houses and even making an offer on one to only to have it fall through, we found the house we get to call home. With every test, another block is added to our foundation. Our story is unique and with God at the center of our relationship we cannot wait to keep growing with one another. It can be hard to understand the complexity that accompanies love, but with God in the drivers seat it all eventually makes perfect sense. We will continue to walk the path of life with the ones closest to our hearts. Life may have its ups and downs, twists and turns, and backtracks, but we honestly could not imagine it any other way.
