we're getting married!!

High school sweethearts ❤️ We slowly became friends through high school. Our last year, our friend groups combined, and Becky won me over with Taco Bell lunches, Wendy's lemonades, and owning the coolest car of any/all of our friends! We started dating our senior year!

During a spontaneous sunset trip to Sand Point Beach in the upper peninsula, I wrote the words “will you marry me?” in the sand. Despite being sneaky (or so I thought), Bree caught on quickly even texting me to find out if I was trying to propose and asking if I could do it closer to where she was sitting so she didn’t have to walk across the beach. After realizing I was doing it, Bree walked down the beach and read the words and instantly began crying as she mumbled the words “yes”. 15 months later (but I wasn’t counting) on the morning of our scheduled engagement pictures, Bree woke up extra early and decided that I too should have a ring for the pictures later that day. (For the record, I had a few attempts that fell through- thanks covid.) But, at roughly 6:30 in the morning, Bree and Willow both came into the room and jumped on the bed waking me up to what was Bree putting a ring on my finger. Once I woke up enough to realize what was happening, Willow and I both smiled from ear to ear and spent the rest of the morning taking pictures of my new shiny bling.
