FAQs

If you have any questions other than what is listed here, please reach out to the bride, Rebecca.
Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire - a balance between elegant and comfortable.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are taking place indoors at Gideon Owen. There will be signs to guide you to the correct rooms. The ceremony will be in the Wine Cellar; the entrance is located on the right side of the building and down the garden steps. The cocktail hour and reception will directly follow in the rooms above the cellar.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding party will depart to take photos on the grounds. Meanwhile, there will be appetizers and drinks in the Vineyard room for our guests to enjoy before the reception.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Dinner will be served at the reception. You may choose one of the entrée choices listed on your invitation. There will also be a cash bar available.

Question

Where should I park? Is parking free?

Answer

There is plenty of free, available parking located at the front of the venue.

Question

Will transportation be provided to/from the hotel?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, so please plan accordingly. There are local taxi services if needed.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please know we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved for guests until October 10th at Fairfield Inn and Suites in Port Clinton. We recommend booking your room sooner rather than later.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 10th. This can be done online by following the link on your invitation or clicking the "RSVP" tab at the top of this page.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can't make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
