No. We do not recommend renting a car. Antigua is a very walkable city, and many of our recommended hotels, restaurants, and wedding venues are located within the historic center. For longer distances, Uber is widely available and affordable.
Not necessary. ATMs are readily available throughout Antigua.
The Guatemalan Quetzal (QTD). Credit cards are widely accepted throughout Antigua. For small purchases, markets, and tips, we recommend carrying a small amount of cash.
Besides your best party shoes, comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Antigua’s streets are made of historic cobblestone and can be uneven.
