How We Met

Who knew Subway would do this to us...

We met while working at Subway... of all places! Anthony worked the overnight shift, and I mostly worked nights since I was still in college. We immediately became friends. He was someone I could talk to all the time and had me smiling- even in the middle of the night! After a few months of being friends and being in constant communication, we realized we never ran out of things to talk about. Whether it was a phone call, text or Snapchat, he always had a way of making me happy. One day while out shopping, casually hanging out, I got the urge to kiss him. I turned to kiss him on the cheek and at the same time, he kissed me on the lips! That was the start of him & I...

When I Said YES!

We had made a compromise that each weekend we would switch turns for date night since we really couldn't decide what to do (still a problem to this day!). It was his turn, and he said he was planning a surprise. I had NO clue what he was going to do that night... I asked him what I should wear since he didn't share any details. He really didn't give me much to work with, so I just decided to use this as an opportunity to buy a new dress. For some reason I chose white! That night, he wore a white tux to match with me. He drove us to Seaport Village and I still didn't have a clue on what was going on. I just figured we were going on a nice dinner by the water since he knows how much I love the ocean. We make line to get on the Hornblower Cruise, which I thought was pretty fancy! And yet, it didn't cross my mind on what was happening. We enjoy a nice dinner and music while getting a breathe-taking view of our beautiful San Diego. We were just about under the Coronado Bridge, when he asks me to dance. The song "Marry Me" by Train was playing, and we danced. I didn't even notice that we were the only ones on the dance floor. As we're dancing, I felt him fiddling with something in his pocket. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I just couldn't believe it! Of course I said yes to marrying my best friend.
