I was visiting California for the third time. I was invited to the annual Pastor’s School at Montecito Baptist Church. I remember she was carrying some heavy things from her car, to the churche’s kitchen for a lunch that she was helping in. I, being the gentleman I was taught to be, helped her carry all the things inside. After a very light research, I was under the impression that she was married. However, when one of our mutual friends (Moises) confirmed her singleness I wastes no time to asked for her phone number and the rest is history.
It was Pastor's School, one of the biggest events my home church hosts throughout the year. I remember needing some help getting things in order for the ministry I was assigned. Being that it was the last day of the conference, every help was welcomed so Abraham offered to help me. After the conference was over and we had finished all of our tasks, he asked me for my number. As we began to exchange numbers, his phone died. I told him I was going to text him my number but I never did. After speaking to his pastor to make sure he was serious about our friendship, he called me to ask if we can begin a friendship with the purpose of marriage. I, of course said, "We could talk and be friends but if you want something formal, you need to talk to my Pastor and my dad." So he did. After two years dating, here we are, exited to start this new adventure call “marriage”.
