Question

Where is the parking at the venue?

Answer

For guests of The Perry Hotel: Complimentary guest parking is available on site. The lot is located at the back of the hotel and you can enter through a door there to check in. For guests staying elsewhere: Metered parking is available on the streets adjacent to the hotel (Bay St, Lewis St, Rose St) for approximately $1 or less per hour. Meters are enforced until 6pm on Saturdays. Arlington Lot is free and located kitty corner to the Perry. This is a great option for anyone planning to leave their car overnight. Question

Will this be an indoor or outdoor wedding?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing will take place outdoors in the Rose Garden Veranda. The venue is partially covered by tents and has sides that will come down in the case of needing shade or cover. The restrooms are located a few steps away inside the hotel.

Question

Can I bring children, pets, or guests?

Answer

Please refer to your save the date/formal invitation for our wedding guest list. The venue is limited on space and our primary guest list is prioritized. We understand and encourage making this a fun long-weekend getaway so there may be extra questions on the subjects of: KIDS - Though we absolutely love the kiddos of our friends and family and enjoy our time with them, our wedding venue is tight and not conducive for children (located on a bluff near a road with no additional room to play) and therefore will be an adult-only wedding. The only exception is for the two children with roles in our wedding party. PETS - The Perry Hotel is not a pet friendly hotel, but there are options for pet friendly stays in the area. No pets are allowed on site throughout the weekend. GUESTS - As mentioned, the space is tight and we unfortunately could not offer plus ones to all guests. Please refer to your invitation for the invited guests. If you'd like to know the friends you can expect to see, feel free to reach out! Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Are all festivities required?

Answer

Not at all! Since this is a travel destination for all (whether it’s 2 hours, 3 hours, or a plane ride away), we wanted to give extra opportunity to celebrate with you throughout the weekend to make sure we're able to spend time with everyone and thank you all for joining us.

Question

Extending your stay

Answer

Our room block is for Friday and Saturday only but you are able to tack on additional nights if you are interested in extending at all. With it being a long weekend, we hope you are able to enjoy some rest and relaxation (or adventure!) to end the summertime. There’s nothing quite like summertime in Northern Michigan. See our Things to Do Page for suggestions.

Question
