Kyle and ReAnna both grew up in small Texas towns a few miles apart. While they had many mutual friends in high school, it was only after college that they would meet each other. Kyle and ReAnna both returned to Dallas after graduating college. It was one fateful night while hanging out with these mutual friends in Deep Ellum that their paths would cross. They struck a relationship which quickly moved beyond friendship spending every bit of free time together. Kyle even endured routine weekly vegan restaurant dinner dates. Kyle and ReAnna have lived together for the past year and look forward to spending the rest of their lives together.

Kyle bought an engagement ring in February of 2020. He had several ideas for the perfect proposal until the coronavirus outbreak put a halt to these plans. In June, ReAnna told Kyle about an annual family gathering her Native American family would be having at her parent's house in one week. Kyle saw this as a great opportunity to surprise ReAnna with the perfect proposal. ReAnna noticed that there were several friends at the annual gathering that are not typically present, but did not think much of it. Karaoke is a tradition during these family gatherings, so ReAnna did not find it odd when Kyle asked her to sing a song. ReAnna requested to sing Higher Love by Whitney Houston but Kyle quickly turned that down as he had other plans in mind. The song would be Marry You by Bruno Mars. As they started singing, Kyle tapped ReAnna on the shoulder and pointed in the direction of friends and family that were joining the group of onlookers. ReAnna realized what was happening and turned around to see Kyle on one knee. ReAnna didn’t even let Kyle speak before saying “Yes”!
