Question
If I don't want to stay at a hotel are there other places to stay?
Answer
Yes! There are many local bed & breakfast's, cabins, and airbnbs/vrbos in the alto pass area. Please note that if you do not book at the hotel, you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the venue as our shuttle bus will only make a few select stops along the way. Is there transportation to and from the venue?
Answer
Yes! We will have a shuttle bus that will pick people up and bring them back one or two of the main hotels in the area. You don't need to do anything to arrange the shuttle bus, we will let everyone know what time the bus will be arriving at the hotel to bring you to the ceremony. All you need to do is make sure you are out front and on the bus on time. The same service will then drop you back off at the hotel after the reception is finished (approx. 11:00pm). We will have a shuttle service arranged for an earlier time (approx. 9pm), for those who wish to leave earlier. First priority for pick-up and drop off will be to the Holiday Inn Express (murphsyboro) we were have the largest room block reserved. Note: Uber is very limited around the area; please plan to either take the shuttle or car-pool with a designated driver.

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
We are asking for RSVP's by August 21st, 2026. We will have an online link sent via email to RSVP (forthcoming).

What should I wear?
Answer
We recommend cocktail/semi-formal attire. Consider bringing a jacket with you for the evening. There are walkways throughout the property, but please note that the outdoor area for the ceremony is primarily grass and you may want to choose footwear accordingly.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The wedding ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting, followed by an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour at the bourbon bar (on the property). The wedding reception will be held inside a covered pavilion that can be fully opened or closed depending on the weather.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Average temperatures in Southern Illinois at the beginning of October are still quite warm. You can expect an average high of around 25 degrees Celsius during the daytime and around 15 degrees Celsius at night.

Can we bring our children?
Answer
While we would love to celebrate with the entire family, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding and reception. We kindly request an adults-only celebration and appreciate your understanding.

Is there parking?

If you choose to drive, there will be plenty of street parking available (free) just outside of the venue.

Are there things to do in the area?
Answer
The wedding venue is located in Southern Illinois' wine region (Alto Pass). There are many wineries, hiking trails, and restaurants nearby. If you are flying into Nashville, you can extend your stay to explore all the city has to offer (live music venues, excellent food, museums, country music hall of fame, etc.)

Yes, please let us know as soon as possible and we will try our best to accommodate.

Are you registered?
Answer
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all, so gifts are truly not expected. We will not have a traditional registry. For those who have expressed interest in celebrating us with a gift, a card box will be available at the reception.
