Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses/jumpers, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. Please make sure you're comfortable so you can dance with us all night!

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather in late October in Vermont over the last few years has really varied, being anywhere from snowing all the way up to in the high 50s-low 60s so this will really depend on how next year unfolds! We'd recommend bringing layers and/or a heavier jacket than you need just in case it ends up being chilly.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be inside or outside?

Answer

Our plan is to have the ceremony outside at the venue on grass if it is warm enough and then have the reception inside! If we decide the night before/morning of that it is too cold, then both the ceremony and reception will take place inside.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

John and I will be doing a first look prior to the ceremony so we can ideally have more time to join everyone at the cocktail hour after the ceremony! There will be drinks and appetizers/finger foods served prior to going into the dining room for a few toasts and then dinner. Cake/dessert and dancing will follow dinner!

Question

Is the wedding Halloween themed?

Answer

Unfortunately, no!!!! Our venue is hosting a Carvinal-themed Halloween event the night before for charity that is open to the public. If you happen to be in the area the night before the wedding and want to attend, I recommend going to the venue's website and getting a ticket as they sold out last year!

Question

Where should I park if I am driving?

Answer

There is PLENTY of parking for anyone looking to drive to/from the venue. You are also more than welcome to come back in the morning to pick up your vehicle if you end up not wanting to drive after the reception!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we both love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list in order to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation, if you have any additional questions please reach out to John or Jill!

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Our venue does have the ability to accommodate some special diet requests/options however please contact John or Jill in order to make sure we let them know ahead of time about your needs!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

You can either mail back your RSVP or do this online! Please make sure you RSVP no later than September 15th. Please also make sure when you RSVP that you let us know if you are interested in taking the shuttle to/from the hotel so we can plan for the right numbers.
