About a month after we got engaged—and just a month before the big day—we decided to elope at the beautiful Overland Park Arboretum. What started as an intimate plan turned into a small, meaningful celebration with our families. As two introverts with busy schedules, this felt like the perfect way and time for us to say “I do.” We’re overjoyed to announce that we’re married and so excited to finally share this special moment with you!
Believe it or not, we grew up just 30 minutes apart—Reagan in Olathe, KS, and Sean in Leavenworth, KS—yet somehow never crossed paths until 2020, when we finally met through weightlifting in college. Ironically, we had even been at the same competitions across the country for years without knowing it! If you know the story, you know Reagan tried to flirt with Sean when they first met... and accidentally offended him instead. It took another year before Sean decided to figure out whether Reagan was just mean or simply terrible at flirting—and, well, here we are three years later! When we started dating, Reagan was preparing for medical school applications in Kansas, and Sean was living in North Carolina, having recently left school. Just six months later, Sean moved to Kansas and re-enrolled in school (we may be able to thank Reagan for both of those changes). Since then, our relationship has been full of coffee shop study sessions, weightlifting meets, and late-night ice cream runs—simple moments that have built a deep love and companionship. Now, as Reagan continues her journey through medical school and Sean begins his career as a Software Engineer at Garmin, we’re excited for all that lies ahead. We don’t know exactly where life will take us, but we do know that we’ll face it all together, with love, support, and maybe a few more pints of ice cream. Thank you for being part of our lives and our story. We’re so happy to celebrate this special day with you!
