The story begins back in September of 2019. Mitch and I both work for the same company and went on a work trip of sorts where it all started. I, with one of my best friends (and bridesmaid!) Katie, and Mitch with his sister Jordan took the 17 hour flight to Bali, Indonesia halfway around the globe. On our second day of vacation we head to a business meeting where I think we both caught the others eye. Mitch sat right behind me and he clearly remembers me talking to everyone else around us but him. I remember being so nervous with this incredibly handsome guy behind me that I couldn’t bring myself to say anything! Later at the pool, with the help of Katie and Jordan we finally met. At last! After a group dinner that night we took a walk on the beach and so it begins… After that week, Mitch flew down to Austin to visit and what a sweet time that was! (Many of our first date spots you can find within walking distance of the hotel, where our reception will be held). After that weekend, the flights (and many airline miles) between Texas and Missouri began, and would not end until about two years later. One of our favorite things to do while in Austin is visit Auditorium Shores right across the river from downtown. We spent many evenings and days there and would always have a wonderful time! In February of 2021, Mitch chose that spot to pop the question, and it could not have been more perfect! We are so excited to be in the same place at last, and spend the rest of our lives together.
