Just how every little boy and girl dreams, Matt and Reagan met on the campus of Temple University. The Gymnastics team was having an end of semester party, and the scene was set. Matt was doing a STELLAR job working security for the Jell-O Shots and Reagan was trying her best not to dance on elevated surfaces. Conversation began, and one thing lead to another. A simple "How you feeling?" Snapchat message the next morning set the wheels in motion for the rest of their lives. Matt moved to New York City for an internship and Reagan continued her journey in Philly for her final gymnastics season. The relationship started slow, texting, calling, and staying in touch, until the two decided that it was time for a proper date. Matt's bus was extremely late from NYC so instead of a one-on-one dinner, the date turned into meeting many of Matt's friends for drinks at the Horse. But that didn't scare Reagan; if his friends liked her (which of course they did) it was a pretty good sign. A few more dates in Philly and a trip up to the city that never sleeps and they knew this was going to be the start of the rest of their lives.
On a trip back to the East Coast, Matt sent Reagan on a surprise scavenger hunt across the most meaningful and some of their favorite locations on the island of Brigantine. Through all of the waterworks (both rain and tears), Reagan found each and every clue, leading her back to her Grandmother's home where Matt dropped to one knee with his heart full...and his brain immediately blanking for the right words to say. After a shaky, but extremely heartfelt speech, the question was asked and Reagan happily said "Yes!"
