In the years of being single, we prayed for a partner. During this time, Reagan felt a sense from God not to actively seek someone, but to trust that the right person would come into her life while she focused on her purpose. She spent this period interning at People's Church before joining the staff, all the while praying for a partner like James. At the same time, James focused his attention on work, friends and family and prayed that one day God would reveal his partner to him at the right time. After a couple of years on staff, Reagan and her creative team felt called to start a small group. Around the same time, James moved to Oklahoma for his job with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was invited to People's Church and joined the same small group as Reagan and her team. They quickly found a connection, and Reagan soon realized that James embodied all the qualities she had prayed for all those years and James discovered that everything he had been searching for in a wife, he found in Reagan. Our story stands as a beautiful reminder that when we seek God first, He will lead us to people and things that far exceed anything we can imagine. “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:33
