21C is a boutique hotel with a modern art exhibit and bar located inside.
This bridge located at the Waterfront Park connects Ohio and Indiana at the widest part of the Ohio River. In just a little less than a mile walk over the bridge you will be in downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana. Jeffersonville has seen a makeover with the completion of the bridge. A favorite place to eat is Red Yeti’s a microbrewery, which has great burgers. Also don’t forget to stop and treat yourself at Schimpff’s Confectionery. This candy story was opened in 1891 and is famous for their cinnamon red hots! And of course there are plenty of chocolate selections as well!
Located in an area called the Highlands, this is also a scenic walk with miles of walking trails. Also located by here is a favorite local coffee shop – Fante’s.

For a more unique and antique exploring there are some great places. Right across from the reception venue, there is the Logan Street Market. Located close to downtown, there is the Mellwood Art Center. In “Paristown”, which is close to downtown there is an antique mall and a pottery store, unique to Louisville. Right next to the pottery store there is a great lunch spot, The Café. Another area located by downtown, that includes unique shops and restaurants is NuLu.
Other than racing, Kentucky also known for bourbon has many distilleries to visit. Even for those that do not enjoy bourbon, the tours are interesting to learn about the history and process. (Before you visit, be sure to check hours and make reservations.) The Urban Bourbon Tours – provides many options in Louisville, many located in the downtown area. A few include: Old Forester, Angels Envy, Rabbit Hole Distillery, Evan William’s and Cooper and Kings.
